The body is always ready for pleasure

    Irene Andersson has something
    important to tell every woman:

If we just allow our body to enjoy,
it knows how to do it.
We have to start by looking inwards.

This is the essence of her teaching.

Tips for a great sex life often are about reaching something out there, like new places, new positions or new equipment. We can certainly have a temporary kick, but then what? She says.

Irene is a qi gong teacher and she has also written a book on “Woman’s Tao”. At the Tantra Festival she was giving a workshop on how to access more strength and joy in life by using the sexual energy. She taught about the erotic zones in the female body, the fluids and the female essence and how to say yes to our inherent femininity.

This is ancient knowledge originating from the Chinese Taoist philosophy which looks upon sexuality as a natural, neutral and obvious source of vitality. Other spiritual traditions such as tantra and shamanism, also approach the sexual energy in this way. It is a pity that we impose shame upon sexuality in our society.

Irene guided us into our natural experience of pleasure according to this old wisdom.

When we turn inwards, feeling our body from the inside, it becomes more receptive and opens up, she says.

We can increase the energy of our body system by imagining that we draw the in breath up through the spine and into various body parts. It is about meditating – becoming present in our bodies. This way, we relax, and let the orgasm come to us by itself, instead of chasing it through eagerly bumping.

To me it’s sad that most of us did not learn that relaxing our bodies, is all we really have to do, Irene says.

It is about affirming the pure feminine and open up to receiving rather than trying to get something from the outside. Maybe the independent and gender equalised woman is challenged by this statement. Irene is used to answer to opposed ideas and deals with it.

There is no contradiction whatsoever between having the same salary as a man or share the practical household tasks with him and at the same time meeting him in the sexual act by being receptive, she says.

When the man is welcomed and surrounded by the female openness, he feels at home and the mutual meeting, gets stronger, lasts longer is more important than the orgasm. The same goes for a woman to when she shows her receptiveness. Again, some women might feel uncomfortable, believing that they will prove weakness in order to make the man strong.

The answer to this is that the nature of women is very strong. It’s about being present and firm with an open heart, looking into his eyes, Irene says.

The woman herself, is responsible for pointing out her limits. When being present in the moment, it is easier to know what she wants and act in accordance to it.
The breasts are significant, because from there the woman opens up – there is a direct link to the brain and the genitals. We put our attention to our own breasts in a guided meditation, held them and felt them from inside ourselves.

This was new to me, someone said, and yet natural – like the sexuality experiences always should to be.

ADVICES TO ANY WOMAN WHO LIKES TO ENHANCE HER PLEASURE
Shift your focus from outwards to inwards. Meditate, feel your body from within.
Relax, to make the orgasm come naturally, in it´s own way. Use breathing.
Practice being in the moment. In mindfulness, you are in your feminine essence.
