The Heart Dance is a key event at Ängsbacka. The circular dance and heartfelt songs bring participants together in a joyful way. Daniel Ryrvik and Jessica Engqvist are one of the regular Heart Dances during No Mind. A band of nine musicians play heart songs such as “Into the garden” and “My sweetest love”.
In a big circle with about 100 people Jessica starts with a simple exercise to warm up our voices by lett
ing the men sing one harmony and the women another. Just by singing “ahh” it´s already easy to feel more connected to oneself and the others in the room. She teaches us the first song “I walk in peace” where we stay with ourselves while we move around in the circle. After getting grounded in ourselves she teaches us more songs where we meet each other. The energy in the room is happy and playful. People are openhearted and smiling a lot.
— When I came to Ängsbacka the first time, the Heart Dance was really a key for me to find courage to meet people in a simple way, says Jessica.
Her and Daniel holds Heart Dance regularly at Ängsbacka´s festivals throughout the year.
— It´s a really nice way for people to show themselves and be in whatever feeling they may have, says Jessica.
