Breathing in – Breathing out

This coming easter inspiring teachers from near and far will offer workshops ranging from soft Sadhana before the sun rises to Bollywood Dance with flowing hips, pulse and laughter! We will meet each other in flowing motion, vibrating voices and inner balance through focused asanas.
The festival offers a possibility of logging out, landing and resting in our breath – give us time to find the rhythm of the body and relaxation in meeting others and ourselves. When we have had time to breathe out fully there is space for filling ourselves with new energy and inspiration.
Activities, rest and sharing
After the morning yoga (or sleeping in!) and breakfast everyone will meet to start the day together. There will be music and singing, some dancing and sharing, as well as presentation of the day’s workshops,. Before and after lunch you can choose between various workshops and before dinner there is sharing (talking circle) in small groups, a space where you meet your group once a day to share and integrate your experiences. An vital part of Ängsbacka’s festivals is also the fantastic food: nourishing, beautiful, delicious and mainly ”ecolocal”.
The main part of Good Friday we will be in verbal silence together. The following eve will come to close in Molkom church with concert, singing and celebrating. A yearly magical event! All workshops are of course voluntary and the festival gives you the freedom to choose between going to one of them, taking walks in the beautiful surroundings, hanging out in the cosy café or just resting, doing nothing. A day may look like this:
- 05:00: Sadhana – Kundalini yoga with live music and singing
- 07:00: Morning practise – Meditation, yoga, awakening movement, nature walk
- 08:15: A hearty breakfast with porridge, smoothies, fruits, nuts & herbal tea
- 10:00: Morning meeting – in stillness, dance and song, presentation of the day’s workshops
- 11:15: Workshop – Grounding yoga, African dance, voice work
- 13:00: Lunch – Main meal of the day, with beans, lentils, rice and veggies
- 15:00: Workshop – Yoga & dance, self-inquiry
- 17:00: Sharing in small groups
- 18:30: Dinner – a light evening meal of soup, vegetables, wok etc.
- 20:00: Shorter workshop, concerts, mantra singing, dance and evening entertainment

Yoga & Dance easter 2013 welcomes you who like yoga or dance, and maybe is interested in connecting the two. Welcomes you who is looking for a held together festival where we go on a journey together with room for everyone’s individual needs. You who are longing to be in close contact with your inner space and from there connecting to the outside world. You who need relaxation from stressful everyday life and recharging. And welcomes you who want to gather in awareness here and now to meet yourself and others.
Our intention is to create a safe space of togetherness. We want to give room for experiences of coming home and feeling inner peace, and like the flowers of spring being in our fullest expression of radiance, feeling and motion. Yoga and dance are bodily practices that we can bring back home. We hope that everyone will return to their everyday lives full of new energy and insight to integrate things between ordinary and extraordinary in the pulse of life. We also embrace the intention of coming closer to each other in a time of deeper awareness, where we may become more creative, loving and learn to take care of this earth in a sustainable way.
