Celtic Soul

~ Sweatlodge ~

with Tim Jago

This weekend is an exploration of the core of Celtic spirituality and healing. We will be taking a journey together, travelling to different states of awareness, waking up the physical body, turning on the senses. We will be sharing stories and diving deep into the dark to find the hidden treasure there. And of course there will be a sweat lodge!

There is a knowledge carried by practitioners of natural spirituality, whether they are called shamans, healers, awenydd, filidh or medicine people. That knowledge is older than Buddha, Mohammed or Jesus. It predates Hinduism, Taoism and Zen. It contains the keys to a living spiritual existence. These keys are many and varied, but can be said to have two common characteristics; they are practical and they are effective.

Total Awareness

Imagine moving through the forest like a wild animal, your senses alive, in tune with your surroundings. Being able to read the way the wind moves through the trees, the songs of birds. Imagine knowing directly if a place is safe or not. Being able to move in complete darkness without crashing into things.

And what if we let the possibilities expand… How many senses do you have? We are able to be aware of so much and yet most of the time our conditioning and expectations filter out the information right in front of our eyes… and ears, skin, tongue and nose. Most of us completely ignore the other senses or file them in a box called intuition, imagination or irritation. In this work we are going to play a lot of games with the body and with awareness. Most importantly, we are going to find the place inside that supports us in dealing with so much information.

The Celtic Sweatlodge

A healing ritual designed to bring us in to the presence of our own soul, to give clarity of vision and an awareness of our path in life. It is a powerful tool for change, and for releasing what no longer supports us. The Celtic lodge is a journey of death and rebirth.

Sanctuary

There are infinite resources within each one of us. Here we will create a doorway to the inner world. If you have total freedom to create, what would you do? We explore Sanctuary both in a resting state and in active practice, moving in everyday world from a place of deep consciousness. A well grounded sanctuary practice will allow you to move across borders in time and space, and even species.

Warmly welcome to Celtic Soul at Ängsbacka in March!

Tim Jago

I have spent many years working with the sweat lodge and other tools of the awenydd, leading zikr, supporting people on their own journey. This is something different. I want to share some tools that are practical and effective. None of them will take more than a couple of hours to learn. Any of them, and all of them combined, will change your experience of being alive. But don’t take my word for it. Another thing my teachers told me..

“Don’t believe anything. Experience is the best teacher.
Try it, and if it works, keep it”.

So I invite you; come and try these tools, experience the possibilities hidden in your own being, you are a hidden secret, longing to be known…
